CAF Participates in National Productivity and Performance Conference 2026

The County Assemblies Forum (CAF) is participating in the National Productivity and Performance Conference 2026, being held from 17th–19th June 2026 at the Kenya School of Government in Nairobi.
Convened by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC), the Conference brings together leaders and stakeholders from the National and County Governments, Constitutional Commissions and Independent Offices, academia, development partners and the private sector to deliberate on ways of enhancing productivity and performance across the country.

The Conference was officially opened by the Head of Public Service, Mr. Felix Koskei, who emphasised that productivity transformation begins with leadership and a deliberate focus on improving outcomes for citizens.
Mr. Koskei noted that the performance of Government should ultimately be measured not by the number of meetings held or reports produced, but by the tangible improvements that citizens experience in their daily lives.

He underscored the importance of measuring productivity and focusing on outcomes, calling on public institutions to move beyond tracking activities to demonstrating impact, creating public value, eliminating inefficiencies and strengthening accountability.
The Head of Public Service further advocated for a whole-of-government approach to implementation, emphasising that productivity should serve as an organising principle for enhancing fiscal sustainability, national competitiveness and effective service delivery across the public sector.

CAF’s participation in the Conference reflects the Forum’s commitment to strengthening institutional performance and supporting County Assemblies to deliver effectively on their legislative, oversight and representation mandates in pursuit of improved outcomes for citizens.
The discussions provide an opportunity for stakeholders to share experiences, examine emerging approaches to productivity, and identify practical measures for strengthening performance across Kenya’s public sector.
